What is a stop-limit order?

It is an instruction system to submit a buy or sell limit order when the stop loss trigger price specified by the trader is hit. An order has two parts: the stop price and the limit price. When a trade occurs at or above the stop price, the order becomes executable and enters the market as a limit order, which is an order to buy or sell at a specific or better price.
